On October 19th ,we hosted the second Twitter Chat, #gTLDChat. Thank you to everyone who participated. We would like to especially thank ICANN for their participation in helping better understand the Guidebook.
As promised, below is a transcript of the #gTLDChat. The questions we asked were:
- What do you feel is the most complex question or to-do item on the list?
- Do you believe there is any advantage in submitting an application early in the application window? Why or why not?
- What are the pros and cons of applying as a “community-based” application?
- Do you believe obtaining a community status is achievable in any TLD?
- What questions have brands asked about the Registry Agreement and becoming part of the gTLD Registry community?
- What should companies take into consideration if they are wanting to be BOTH a registry and a registrar for their TLD?
- The application Q18, on purpose of TLD, what do you believe ICANN wants 2 know and what needs to be considered when responding.
- Application Q18 Describe the mission/purpose of your proposed gTLD. How do you expect it will benefit others.
